Radico Khaitan’s ₹500 Crore Power Play: Luxury Spirits on Fire!
Radico Khaitan, one of India’s leading liquor manufacturers, aims to achieve ₹500 crore in sales from its premium and luxury portfolio, featuring the renowned Rampur Indian Single Malt Whisky and Jaisalmer Indian Craft Gin. This move showcases a broader industry trend, as Indian consumers increasingly choose high-end spirits, driven by rising disposable incomes and evolving preferences.
Luxury Spirits Driving Growth
The company’s Prestige & Above (PNA) segment—which includes its premium whisky, vodka, and gin brands—is projected to grow by over 15% in the upcoming fiscal year. Managing Director Abhishek Khaitan has emphasized that this segment will be a key revenue driver, helping Radico achieve double-digit growth overall.
In the current fiscal year, Radico Khaitan has already clocked in ₹250 crore from premium spirits in the first nine months, with the December quarter alone contributing ₹100 crore. Given this momentum, the company is confident of doubling these figures in the next financial year.
Rampur & Jaisalmer: India’s Rising Global Icons
Radico Khaitan is banking heavily on its luxury labels to dominate both domestic and international markets. The Rampur Indian Single Malt Whisky, which retails between ₹4,000 and ₹10,000, has gained global recognition and is positioned as one of India’s finest single malts. Some of its exclusive editions even command a price tag of ₹5 lakh per bottle, appealing to connoisseurs who seek ultra-premium experiences.
Meanwhile, Jaisalmer Indian Craft Gin has carved out a strong niche in the fast-growing gin segment, leveraging India’s rich botanical heritage.
Expanding Premium Portfolio
To further accelerate growth, Radico Khaitan is launching new premium and super-premium products under Rampur, Sangam, and Jaisalmer labels. This strategic move aligns with India’s growing appetite for high-quality spirits that offer both prestige and taste.
The Premiumization Trend in India
The Indian liquor market is witnessing a massive shift towards premiumization, driven by urbanization, higher disposable incomes, and changing consumer preferences. More Indian consumers are willing to spend on high-end spirits, a trend that global players have also recognized.
Radico Khaitan’s aggressive expansion in this segment puts it in direct competition with global whisky and gin brands, while also strengthening India’s position in the luxury spirits market.
