The global whisky tourism boom continues to reshape the spirits industry, and the latest 2026 Distillery Popularity Index by The Cask Connoisseur highlights the distilleries capturing the attention of visitors and whisky enthusiasts worldwide.
The ranking evaluated 295 distilleries across the UK and Ireland using a combination of Google reviews, TripAdvisor ratings, and social media performance across Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Rather than judging whisky quality, the index measures visitor appeal, online reputation, and digital influence.
Scotland dominated the list with six entries, but it was Ireland’s Teeling Distillery that once again secured the number-one position.
